Renowned UK Fine Art Photographer, David Yarrow, Announced as New Nikon European Ambassador
Amsterdam, the Netherlands, 30th April 2018 – Nikon Europe B.V. is proud to announce world renowned photographer, David Yarrow, will be joining an esteemed group of Nikon photographers as European Ambassador.
Yarrow’s evocative and immersive photography of life on earth has earned him an ever growing following amongst photographers, art collectors and consumers alike. His large and iconic monochrome images are on display in many leading galleries and museums across the world, contributing to a unique style that has seen him soar to the top of his game as one of the world’s best natural world photographers.
Yarrow has been using Nikon products for the last 33 years – from the initial stages of his career which saw him working for The Times to capture the iconic picture of Diego Maradona during the 1986 World Cup Final, to more recent years where he has established himself as one of the world’s best-selling fine art photographers. Most recently, David played an integral part in the launch of the D850.
More importantly, Yarrow’s work represents his passion for philanthropy and conservation, something he is keen to showcase through his Nikon European Ambassador Special Project, which he is currently shooting in Amboseli, Kenya.
David Yarrow comments, “My photography career has been less than conventional, and it’s fair to say I have refused to be pigeonholed into one central “theme” or “area of expertise”. Yet throughout this, photography has remained a method of redemption and escapism for me; an opportunity to explore far flung corners of the world and capture extreme environments and the rare wildlife that call these places home.
Nikon’s cameras and NIKKOR lenses have played a huge part in every path I’ve chosen. Its aesthetics and ergonomics have just got better and better, and I struggle to think of another brand who understands the needs of professional and amateur photographers alike. Photography is the art form of our generation and I hope my work as a Nikon European Ambassador will help encourage and inspire people to use their mobile phones less and their eyes more. That’s what this job is all about.”
The Nikon European Ambassador Program
