Yohan's creative philosophy draws from an eclectic and deeply personal set of influences: Romantic painting, Symbolism, the writings of Lovecraft and Tolkien, composers such as Debussy and Wojciech Kilar, and the atmospheric darkness of black metal. These references are not incidental. They shape the way he reads light, constructs mood, and approaches his subjects with a fascination for shadow, nuance, and what lies just beyond the surface of the visible world. His relationship with Nikon began after his first year behind a camera, when he purchased a Nikon D700, a camera that left a lasting impression for its sheer capability and presence. In 2014, he was approached by Nikon France, an encounter that led naturally to his becoming a Nikon Creator. Today, his kit includes the Nikon Z8, the Nikon Z6 III, and the Nikon Z30, paired with a full range of S-line lenses covering the 14-24mm f/2.8, 24-70mm f/2.8, 70-200mm f/2.8, and the 50mm f/1.2. What Yohan values most in his Nikon equipment is straightforward: reliability. Working across demanding environments involving dust, terrain, and the unpredictability of real shoots, his cameras have consistently held up without compromise.
